messenger-down-what-should-have-been-said-review

No one is as surprised as me that I’m sitting here writing this because for me it’s late in the day and I’m usually not one to review at this hour but I want to keep up with my calendar and not let my personal fun times get me off track. This summer’s been a doozy and so was listening to the pop rock of Messenger Down’s What Should Have Been Said. We had some good times and some ironic ones too.

Even though “Ghost Town” eventually shook off that choir boy feel, I just couldn’t wrap my arms around it like it was a beneficial friend. On that note and flipping the script, “The Snake In The Sheets” is the most fun you’ll have on this record. It perked me up a bit after “Swollen Eyes For Butterflies” ironically started as a panic attack settled in and I was crying in real time.

All in all I’d say if you like All Time Low then hey, Messenger Down has your back so long as you have theirs. It’s been out since mid-August so what have you been sitting around doing instead of listening to this one? So if you like pop rock that’s riddled with emotions, check out What Should Have Been Said.
