ashes-of-luna-si-963-hz-reviewThere’s an hour left before I head out for my weekly interaction with human life forms and as the clock counts down to when I get ready, I’m awaiting an email and writing these words you see before you. They were inspired by time spent with Ashes of Luna’s Si – 963 Hz. It was interesting to say the least, eerie at times and overall, music that would be a perfect fit for The Echelon.

There were Chapters throughout the record that broke apart the tracks based on lyrics. All three were as spine tingling as the last, the first made you think something was creeping in the shadows, the second was as freaky as the first and the last sounded like a Gregorian chant modernized for 2014. When the words were in play, the vocals had this Tom DeLonge meets Tokio Hotel thing going on in songs like the piano ballad “Stay A Memory” and “Labyrinth.” I’d say the end of the record was outweighing its start with “Sea Of Diamonds” and “New Beginnings” being just enough. They weren’t this overdone pieces, but rather calmer approaches.

The email has come and now there’s 30 minutes until I leave the four walls that keep me company. With that I’ll leave you with this, if you’re a fan of 30 Seconds to Mars or Tokio Hotel, then what are you waiting for? Ashes of Luna’s Si – 963 Hz is out now for the taking, so check it and enjoy.
