Before You Exit: I Like That

before-you-exit-i-like-that-reviewThe biggest dilemma in my life right now is moving my birthday dinner in April to the weekend after I had originally planned it because Backstreet Boys are doing something in LA that day. What? I don’t know but I do know that I’d rather relive my childhood, hell who am I kidding? BSB is the reason I haven’t mentally matured since I was about 12. Music that’s so sugary that it causes diabetes with one listen; I can’t help but love. That’s why I think Before You Exit’s I Like That EP has caused me a moment of bliss as I sit here at 25. I think I’m twice as old as their average fan, but that won’t stop me from loving their uber-pop rock record.

I Like That” does a good job at being the title track. It’s very addictive pop crack, but incidentally wasn’t my favorite. “End Of The World” featuring Anth was almost the one to make me squeal like a J-14 reader. With the hip hop that Anth added on at the end. I felt like I was in the middle of Bieber’s “Baby.”  My heart ultimately went to Before You Exit’s sensitive love duo, “Settle For Less” and “Soldier.” I’m a sucker for any pop song that sounds like something I’d hear on a special Valentine’s Day edition of TRL (people under the age of about 15, look it up).

If you’re into bands like Jonas Brothers and The Summer Set, then you’re a fan of boys who are not only poster worthy, but know how their way around and instrument too. So if that sounds like you, then check out Before You Exit’s I Like That, out now. Oh, and if you were wondering, I still don’t know what BSB have planned for April 20th. If you find out, let me know, but first priority for you? Get I Like That.
