ImageInnocent sounding voice backed by a lot of attitude. Not a teenage girl, but Palisades I’m Not Dying Today. “Disclosure” takes it’s time to get things going and at first you’ll think it’s another record with lyrics masked by clouds of riffs, but it takes a turn. Matt Marshall comes in sounding like he could replace Gaskarth in All Time Low.

Then “Bury It” and what I’m dubbing the favorite, “Seamless Ending” played, and I heard a little I See Stars. A good thing since I’m thinking of I See Stars’ contribution to Punk Goes 80’s. The only drawbacks of this record were a comparison and repetition. “Immortal” was a little too Set Your Goals (confusing in style) while “Wolves” was a great track, but it just went on and on and on and…You get the idea. The chorus shouldn’t be repeated that often in any song unless it’s Bieber.

Like a pogo stick; ups and downs in Palisades I’m Not Dying Today.  It’s an album for those into the many sounds of Set Your Goals, and I See Stars.  If the album isn’t enough, catch Palisades on the Revived Tour on with Us From Outside, A Faylene Sky and Send The Messenger from Jersey to California and everywhere in between through mid-April.
