Golden Mixtape

Hitting 30 in a year that came with the biggest reality slap since I was 13, I am not “with it” in terms of music. I know some people who are all about Halsey. I know what she looks like, but until Light It Up’s cover of “Eyes Closed” dropped in my inbox, I’d never heard her. Of course that’s besides that damn Chiansmoker song that tricks you into thinking it’s good. Thanks to Light It Up though, we’re listening to some pretty rad covers that I actually liked often more times than the original.
