The Oscar nominations came out this morning and I’m just a little peeved. Where the hell is The LEGO Movie and that dude from Selma? Also, Selma’s director was completely overlooked and that category is a straight up boy’s club; rude. Movies aren’t even my thing but I’m still mad. Also, Emma Stone in Birdman is like that Lupita in 12 Years a Slave…Not even in it enough…Yeah, I watched 12 Years and was like, this is it? Same with Birdman. Michael Keaton though, he owned that role. So to calm down a bit, I decided to look at some favorite songs that have walked away with Best Original Song over the years…Keeping in mind that I’m 27…so a lot are from classic Disney films and not Frozen – if you know me, you know I’m one of three people on earth who hated that movie.

10. “I Just Called to Say I Love You” The Woman in Red

9. “Jai Ho” Slumdog Millionaire

8. “Colors of the Wind” Pocahontas

7. “Take My Breath Away” Top Gun

6. “Lose Yourself” 8 Mile

5. “Up Where We Belong” An Officer and a Gentleman

4. “Beauty and the Beast” Beauty and the Beast

3. “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life” Dirty Dancing

2. “A Whole New World” Aladdin

1. “My Heart Will Go On” Titanic
