What’s cooler than sharing a bill with bands like Movielife, Boyz II Men and Taking Back Sunday? How should I know, but someone we could ask is the guys of 100 to One. They won the Break Contest and got to play Bamboozle back in April, must be nice. So, besides winning at life and being lucky ducks, 100 to One has an album out called Double Down that’s lands somewhere between Yellowcard (okay one song) and 90’s alt rock. Okay, so let’s get that Yellowcard comparison out of the way. It’s the first track you’ll hear if you decide to let it play from start to finish and don’t jump around.  “Let’s Break Away” had that emotion you hear in Ryan Keys when he belts it out, from that point on, the rest of Double Down plays like a soundtrack to a Beavis and Butthead episode; 90’s rock. You can hear the Foo Fighters influence in “Amusement Park” and  throwing it back a bit further, a little Who in “Stand.” You won’t find many bands from the 90’s still around unless you check out Behind the Music, so for people who appreciate that era and newer bands like California’s own Acidic, I advise you check out 100 to One’s Double Down.
